Why we started the SawCast
SawCast was started because we (Aerial and Stevo) saw that the podcast world was missing real authentic black perspectives on pop culture topics, politics, sports and education. We want to bring a perspective that is clear, to the point and easily digestible to our viewers. Often when discussing politics podcast hosts talk over the average listener and they are not able to digest critical information they need to uplift their communities. We want to be the voice for our demographic that speaks directly to them and makes sure they are knowledgeable and up to date on all current events. We want our community to see different perspectives and learn from them in a real authentic way and give a voice to people who aren’t normally heard. We came from poor environments and are now successful, educated, productive members of our community and we want to show other black people that it is possible by being yourself and not switching up. To be free to communicate, discuss and learn the way you do and it be accepted. SawCast is a safespace for everyone to share their views and we will continue to do our part in uplifting the voices of our community.
